The lead plaintiff was scheduled to fly from Montreal to Cancun at 9:30 a.m. on March 25, 2025. After spending many hours in the dark, it was only at 4:51 p.m. that she was informed that her flight would not leave at all on that day, and would only leave the next day:

All persons impacted by the outage at the Montreal Airport that began on March 25, 2025, until the outage was resolved.

Remedies sought for passengers:

The purpose of this class action is to obtain compensation for passengers stuck at the Montreal Trudeau Airport on March 25, 2025, including but not limited to:

a) compensation for troubles, stress and inconveniences;
b) compensation for loss of enjoyment of their trips;
c) reimbursement of all expenses/costs incurred (food, taxi, hotel, etc.);
d) lost time from work, if any; and
e) punitive damages
